About Raven-Dion Blake

Raven-Dion Blake, M.S. CCC-SLP, TSSLD, is a neurodiversity-affirming Speech-Language Pathologist who individualizes therapy to meet the unique needs of each person. She creates a safe environment where communication can thrive for both neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals. She provides articulation, language, fluency, social communication, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) therapy. Raven takes into account the sensory preferences and needs of those she works with to ensure effective and comfortable therapy. With a strong belief in the importance of family involvement, she adopts a family-centered approach. Raven specializes in Gestalt language processing (delayed echolalia or scripting) and working with nonspeaking to moderately speaking individuals. She is dedicated to helping each client reach their full potential. Raven earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders with a minor in Deaf Studies from the State University of New York at New Paltz and her Master of Science in Communication Disorders from Mercy College.

Raven started Communication For Me to work closely with families and use a strength-based approach to support communication needs. She also wanted to provide services for individuals who may not have qualified for school speech therapy. She wanted to be an advocate for kids and families in her community. Raven is passionate about bringing awareness that communication is for everyone, regardless of the modality they use.
